In the sleepy village of Old Haven, Becky Brogan`s school assignment has led her to the mysterious Meane Manor on the outskirts of town. A foul mist wafts around the dilapidated house, an old fortune teller box sits abandoned in the foyer, and eerie journal pages from the past take Becky on a Hidden Object mystery hunt.
Collect clues and pieces of the past as you help Becky get closer and closer to solving The Mystery of Meane Manor!. Chilling scenes. Uncover family secrets.
Help Becky unravel the mystery!. Rated 5 out of5 bySrRat fromFun HOG for a rainy April day If you want adventure mixed in, this is not it. This is a true Hidden Object Game. No running around, back and forth, just objects to find. This is what I want when I look for a HOG.
Some puzzles, a story presented in comic book fashion and HOSs. Fun sound effects, too. The hint works like a geiger counter, very cool.
And the pages of the journal are down right beautiful, looking like combinations of watercolor paintings and collages. Rated 4 out of5 bySuelovesgames fromBrave Becky Brogan What I like most about this game is the enviromental effects. Most of them are creepy at best, downright terrifying at worst. Half the time, you're wondering, 'What exactly was that noise?' And 'How did the sound producers make it?' It must have been fun in that sound studio. The objects can be a little difficult to find at times but usually they are in plain view and are just blended quite well into the graphics. They did repeat scenes a lot and I would have liked a bit more variety.
There is an object detector in the form of a ringing bell. When you get close to an object, the bell gets louder. The hints are limited, you start off with a few and the rest come in the form of cats. The cat sounds were very disturbing sometimes but a lot of fun. I felt that the horror was a bit tongue in cheek, it didn't take itself too seriously. A lot of the older games did have a sense of humour.

Rated 4 out of5 bypennmom36 fromInvestigate The Haunted Meane Manor Becky Brogan has always been interested in puzzles and mysteries, she has a knack for finding missing items too. I thought this was a relaxing hidden object game, nicely done. There is an available Free mode where you can play hidden object scenes again in any location that has been played in the story mode. Each scene in the story mode has three hidden cats that are used for hints and I will admit that I couldn't find a few of them, the number of cats/hints seems to be unlimited as well.
There were only two things I didn't like which kept me from giving this game 5 stars. Some of the items are too small to recognize and the scenes are repeated, the list items are different but the cat/hints are the same cats in the same exact place. Other than that I really had fun playing this game, enjoy! Rated 3 out of5 bySYLPHEERA fromGood for those who like purely HO scenes This was worth playing once, but I probably wouldn't play it again. It had some interesting art on the diary pages that you have to find.
There is no inventory or brain teaser puzzles in this, which is ok. I like games with lots of HO scenes. It is challenging to find some objects, because they are sometimes well-hidden. That's OK since you get plenty of hints by finding the cats in each scene. And there are 3 in every scene. There are multiple repeats of scenes and sometimes you must find the some of the same objects in the same place.
This isn't a bad thing either. I found that I got faster in finding things as the game went on.
